In Eruption, Amelia and Bethany journey to Iceland in 934 AD, where they encounter a massive volcanic eruption. The idea of sending the sisters to Viking-era Iceland was irresistible. Vikings are always fascinating to research and write about, and this adventure provided a perfect mix of historical intrigue and thrilling narrative.

As the volcano threatens the village of Bjargavík, Amelia and Bethany must navigate the chaos, learning about the strength and solidarity of the villagers as they help each other in times of need. Bethany’s journey into the world of healing continues as she learns from the villagers’ traditional methods, while Amelia’s sketchbook fills with scenes of bravery and resilience.

What excites me most about this Magic Library adventure is how it explores the human spirit during a disaster. It’s a testament to how people come together and support each other in challenging times. Amelia and Bethany witness firsthand the incredible resolve and courage of the villagers, adding depth and growth to their characters.

Eruption is the 17th book in The Magic Library series, continuing the sisters’ extraordinary journey through history. Each new adventure enriches their understanding of different times and cultures, and they look forward to many more thrilling escapades, both in the past and the future.
